2012 Season - Week 21

And so we are five days away from Superbowl XLVII on BBC Two. If you cannot make it to HQ on Sunday for the big game but still want to have a wager or two, we will be playing the usual games at the traditional price of £1 per game. Remember all money is split equally between the games winners as the BUMS is a non-profit making organisation and gambling is the work of the devil. Attached is the price of the Superbowl players so you can enter your team (usual play-off rules 1 x QB, 1 x K, 4 x Outfield Players for a maximum of $7.5m). The other games are First Player to Score (QB only if he runs it in), Half-time score, Full-time score and team leading by Quarter eg Tie,Tie,FortyNiners,Ravens. (TTFR). All-BUMS Voting Thanks to those who have already voted for their favourite players of 2012. If you have not voted yet remember I need (in order) your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers plus your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Kickers and Coaches. Vote for your players based on BUMS points, how much you enjoy them, what they meant to their BUMS roster/NFL team or just the fact they were on your roster. The deadline is this Thursday January 31st, just two days time so please vote now if you haven’t done so already. (See POSscoring 2012 attached). BUMSBowl XVII Preview As mentioned last week there will be a new name on the BUMSBowl Trophy this year. It’s the first visit to the Final for both Andy H and Craig. Both are now 1-1 in the Championship Game but overall H is 10-16 in postseason play while Craig is 5-3. This is also the first time they have faced off against each other. Road To The Final – Andy (#8 seed) beat Cheryl (#9) 19-16 in the wildcard road, upset Aaron (#7) 39-35 in the divisional and defeated Marcus (#15) 22-13 in the championship. Craig (#13 seed) beat Ron (#4) in the wildcard 11-7, Johnnie (#3) 41-38 in the divisionals and (#11) David S in the championship 34-27. H & Craig need to get their teams in by 11am this Saturday. First come, first served as always gents. The Commissioners office is now open to receive your teams. BUMS on Superbowl Seats Superbowl XLVII is this Sunday on BBC Two with kick-off around 11.20pm & Cheryl will be cooking a USA feast, to eat before 11pm when the BBC coverage begins. Please let me know by Thursday 11pm if you intend to come so we can plan the shopping list and seating plan. See you at 10:30pm for food. BUMS post season dinner The date for the BUMS evening is set as Wednesday 13th February at either Tower Hill Bodeans or The Diner in Soho. If you want to come let me know your preferred venue by next Monday and I’ll try and book a table.
